Seared Ahi Tuna over Asian Stir Fry Veggies over Jasmin rice

Ingredients:

Jasmin rice

Green onions

Sesame oil

Soy sauce

Rice vinegar

Chili oil

Honey

Sriracha

Chili garlic sauce

Corn starch

Ginger

Sweet colored peppers

Baby corn

Onion

Broccoli

Snow peas

Shredded carrots

Ahi tuna steak cut in fat strips

Sesame seeds


For the marinade:

Sesame oil

Juice of 1 orange

Ginger

Chili oil

chili garlic sauce

soy sauce ( you can substitute with the gluten free kind if you are GF)

Salt to taste


Marinate your tuna strips

Heat oil in your wok add ginger thinly sliced. Cut all your veggies except for the broccoli and snow peas and throw it in there. Add your sauces. Stir fry for a few minutes. In a small pot boil some water. When it reaches a rolling boil put your broccoli and snow peas in for a few min. Immediately transfer it to ice water. Add to the rest of the veggies. Take 2-3 tsp of corn starch and mix with 2-3 tbsp of warm water and make a slurry. Add it to your veggies and cook for a few minutes till it’s thickened a little. Set aside

Boil water and follow the instructions on the Jasmin rice package. Cut up green onions and scatter them over the top.

Heat oil in your skillet. Lay your tuna strips and cook for a few minutes. I like mine medium rare but you can cook it however you choose. Using tongs pick them up and roll them in sesame seeds and put back on the skillet till it browns just a little.

Layer your rice first, then add the veggies and finally the Ahi Tuna. Take a picture and tag me :)
